SMS Consent & Notification Policy

How recipients consent to receive transactional SMS from FieldSync Pro (StarTech Networks).

Service description

FieldSync Pro is StarTech Networks’s internal workforce-management application (https://fieldsync-pro-six.vercel.app). As part of account onboarding, employees and contractors consent to receive account-related and operational SMS at the mobile number on file. These are transactional messages only — we do not send marketing, promotional, newsletter, or bulk messages of any kind.

Message types

  • Password-reset codes (one-time codes the user requests).
  • Account invitations — when an administrator adds an employee or contractor, the new user receives a link to set their password.
  • Operational notifications to assigned staff — shift assignments and updates, schedule changes, and approvals.

Every message is triggered by an explicit in-app action (a user requesting a reset, an administrator inviting a teammate, or a schedule change). There are no campaigns or scheduled bulk sends.

Message frequency

Messages are event-driven and sent in small bursts as these actions occur during the workday — typically a few messages per user per workday. Estimated total volume is approximately 800 messages per month across all users.

Message and data rates may apply, depending on the recipient’s mobile carrier and plan.

Help & opt-out

  • Reply HELP to any message for help.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. After opting out, the recipient will no longer receive SMS.
  • A user who is deprovisioned from the system is also removed and stops receiving messages.

How consent is obtained

Recipients are exclusively StarTech Networks’s own employees and contractors who have provisioned accounts in the application. A phone number enters the system only when an administrator creates or invites that user. During onboarding, each user is asked to confirm enrollment (yes/no) to receive the account and operational SMS described above, and this confirmation is recorded in the user’s account record. A number is removed when the user is deprovisioned. There is no public sign-up form; messaging is internal and transactional only.
